Combines and such
Yesterday I started thinking that I should update my blog, and started crafting a new post - and by crafting, I mean thinking about it in a very abstract sense, and not actually writing it down (it's a process!). Instead, I worked on my powerpoint presentation for my lecture and posted it online to the course website. I suppose that was me acting "responsible".
Today I got a message that I should really update my blog at least once a month (not an unreasonable request), "or your friends will think you've been eaten by a dragon or swallowed by a combine" (Campbell, 2006). Fair enough. For the record, I have not been eaten by any type of dragon, and I still don't know exactly what a combine looks like. Don't tell my supervisor.
Speaking of which, my news (and the reason for the lack of posts) is that I finally got a full first draft finished! Ok, so there will be - major- revisions, but at least there's writing in every section and lots of "academic-ese". It's practically impossible to understand, and filled with super fun statistical equations.
